Diamond’s Pick
Front Lines (Soldier Girl #1) by Michael Grant

Expected Date of Publication: Jan 26, 2016
Publisher: Katherine Tegen Books

Perfect for fans of The Book Thief and Code Name Verity, New York Times bestselling author Michael Grant unleashes an epic, genre-bending, and transformative new series that reimagines World War II with girl soldiers fighting on the front lines.

World War II, 1942. A court decision makes women subject to the draft and eligible for service. The unproven American army is going up against the greatest fighting force ever assembled, the armed forces of Nazi Germany.

Three girls sign up to fight. Rio Richlin, Frangie Marr, and Rainy Schulterman are average girls, girls with dreams and aspirations, at the start of their lives, at the start of their loves. Each has her own reasons for volunteering: Rio fights to honor her sister; Frangie needs money for her family; Rainy wants to kill Germans. For the first time they leave behind their homes and families—to go to war.

These three daring young women will play their parts in the war to defeat evil and save the human race. As the fate of the world hangs in the balance, they will discover the roles that define them on the front lines. They will fight the greatest war the world has ever known.

I’m so excited for this one because ever since I read Messenger of Fear by Michael Grant I have been eagerly awaiting a new series by him. :L I love how creepy his books can be but he also does thrillers really well..So this being a historical thriller taking place in WWII times makes it even MORE intriguing!! Very exciting ^_^

Alex's Pick
The Raven King (The Raven Cycle #4) by Maggie Stiefvater
Expected Date of Publication: April 26th, 2016
Publisher: Scholastic Press

The fourth and final installment in the spellbinding series from the irrepressible, #1 New York Times bestselling author Maggie Stiefvater.

All her life, Blue has been warned that she will cause her true love's death. She doesn't believe in true love and never thought this would be a problem, but as her life becomes caught up in the strange and sinister world of the Raven Boys, she's not so sure anymore.

In a starred review for Blue Lily, Lily BlueKirkus Reviews d
eclared: "Expect this truly one-of-a-kind series to come to a thundering close."

I read the first three books in the Raven Cycle a while back and fell completely in love with them. If you've never read the first few books in this series, you should pick it up now because you'll be mystified by the beautiful language and the writing the author uses as well as the magical and fanatical elements. ALSO C'MON CAN WE TAKE A SECOND TO STARE AT THIS COVER FOR A MINUTE? I was literally staring at this picture for two days straight, and I really just couldn't stop. I love the blue but also there's just something with me and deers and antlers. They just combined my two favorite things.

What are you waiting for?
